Acquirent – Why Work For Us?

Pronounced Ac’-quire-nt, our name is a combination of the words “acquire” and “client”. There’s nothing better than having the name on the door be a constant reminder of our core mission: To help our clients build world-class sales teams and acquire more clients for them.

Acquirent is a leading provider of outsourced sales solutions for companies ranging from small software startups to Fortune 500 companies. We specialize in recruiting, training and managing sales teams that act as either part of our client's sales infrastructure or as their entire sales engine.  We build 100% dedicated sales teams and partner closely with our clients to deliver a transparent and totally accountable solution with a focus on metrics, training and the use of the latest technology in sales.

As a company, we work closely with our clients, but also with our community and our sales people. Our best assets are the people that come to work each day and produce results for our clients. Supporting them means giving back and participating in our community. Acquirent employees can often be seen throughout the community working with children, doing service projects or running/walking in fundraisers.  Working as a team starts inside our walls but extends to our clients, prospects and communities in everything we do.

Do you have an entrepreneurial spirit? Do you want to achieve what others only talk about? Are you self-motivated? Energetic? Do you possess a contagious, positive attitude? Do you only settle for the best?

At Acquirent, we invest in our people. It is our people who have given us our success and helped us get to where we are today. Now we want those who will take us to where we want to be. If you believe what we believe. If you understand the importance of a sales culture and if you want to work at a fast growing, progressive and fun organization as a partner in our growth then these opportunities are for you.

Acquirent has been built brick by brick as we always say and each brick are the talented sales people and sales mangers that work in our office each day.  We strive to make Acquirent a fun place to come to work but also a serious place to work and learn as well.  From quarterly social events, monthly gatherings and team outings, Acquirent provides a sales culture that fosters success.  We do not micromanage but rather create a framework for aggressive, competitive and entrepreneurial sales people to be successful.

No sales organization is complete without strong rewards for strong performers.  Starting each day at our all company 8am meeting with recognition for deals closed the day before to the culmination of a year at our company holiday party and annual awards, Acquirent recognizes and rewards success throughout everything we do.  As reps continue to mature in their careers with us and increase their selling prowess, there are opportunities for them to take on leadership roles, become a sales mentor, team leader or even get promoted to manager.  From constant recognition from senior management to annual rewards for sales excellence, attitude and spirit Acquirent provides a means for each of our sales reps to move their career forward.

Mission Statement:The Purpose of the Acquirent Mentor Program is to provide employee development at a personal and professional level to every single one of our employees. It links employees with mentors who are fully invested in their growth. In addition, it fosters open communication between all levels of employees within Acquirent.

The original Acquirent mentorship program was created in Acquirent’s first year as a way to foster growth and development within the sales force. Initially we paired young, hungry sales professionals with more seasoned sales professionals, outside of our organization, who had experienced success in their careers. The program's purpose was to serve as another resource for our sales executives to continue their education around sales through collaboration with others who have walked in their shoes. In fact, this program introduced Joseph Flanagan to Acquirent as he mentored many of our early sales professionals before getting involved with the company.

Today the program continues to serve as a platform for Acquirent employees to interact and learn from one another.  At a minimum, mentors meet with their mentees outside of the Acquirent office once a month to discuss best practices, how to identify and improve upon their weaknesses, and account specific issues. Additional, the mentors provide as needed feedback and support throughout a sales executive's career at Acquirent. The program has been a great success for our employees and is an important part of our culture. Acquirent mentorship reinforces that training and development never ends for our sales professionals.

I have been working at Acquirent full-time (Less than a year)

Some of the best sales training you'll ever receive. I've been in 2 other sales roles and I have learned, by far, the most in this position. The Partners are fantastic. They're always up for listening to what you have to say. It's really unique to be around 100 people who are focused on sales, and only sales. I feel like I'm part of huge family. The management really takes the time to sit down with you, teach you the product and perfect your technique. You'll be hard pressed to find this type of sales environment with this much diversity in the products we sell.

The vacation time is a little old school. They really want you to be here at 8:00am, but with many new graduates I can see how that's important for them to learn structure. The pay is ok, not the most lucrative sales position. Perfect your techniques here and you'll propel yourself to a higher paying role.

    Advice to Management

Great trainings! Keep up the positive work.

I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at Acquirent (Evanston, IL) in April 2015.

Started with a phone interview with a administrative assistant. The next week I had panel interview. They asked me to do a personality test. Although I had started the interview process with them a year ago and they already had my results. When I got there, the first thing I did was take a intelligence test. After the test, I interviewed with two people ( The recruiter I had some correspondence with and a sales manger). Next, I had a interview with two more people ( two sales mangers).
