Pronounced Ac’-quire-nt, our name is a combination of the words “acquire” and “client”. There’s nothing better than having the name on the door be a constant reminder of our core mission: To help our clients build world-class sales teams and acquire more clients for them.

No sales organization is complete without strong rewards for strong performers.  Starting each day at our all company 8am meeting with recognition for deals closed the day before to the culmination of a year at our company holiday party and annual awards, Acquirent recognizes and rewards success throughout everything we do.  As reps continue to mature in their careers with us and increase their selling prowess, there are opportunities for them to take on leadership roles, become a sales mentor, team leader or even get promoted to manager.  From constant recognition from senior management to annual rewards for sales excellence, attitude and spirit Acquirent provides a means for each of our sales reps to move their career forward.

ACQUIRENT'S MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

Mission Statement:The Purpose of the Acquirent Mentor Program is to provide employee development at a personal and professional level to every single one of our employees. It links employees with mentors who are fully invested in their growth. In addition, it fosters open communication between all levels of employees within Acquirent.

The original Acquirent mentorship program was created in Acquirent’s first year as a way to foster growth and development within the sales force. Initially we paired young, hungry sales professionals with more seasoned sales professionals, outside of our organization, who had experienced success in their careers. The program's purpose was to serve as another resource for our sales executives to continue their education around sales through collaboration with others who have walked in their shoes. In fact, this program introduced Joseph Flanagan to Acquirent as he mentored many of our early sales professionals before getting involved with the company.

Today the program continues to serve as a platform for Acquirent employees to interact and learn from one another.  At a minimum, mentors meet with their mentees outside of the Acquirent office once a month to discuss best practices, how to identify and improve upon their weaknesses, and account specific issues. Additional, the mentors provide as needed feedback and support throughout a sales executive's career at Acquirent. The program has been a great success for our employees and is an important part of our culture. Acquirent mentorship reinforces that training and development never ends for our sales professionals.

GOALS OF THE PROGRAM:

  • Help new hires “learn the ropes” by providing he/she with insight and answering questions about our culture, policies and expectations.

  • Create an avenue for Senior Employees to share guidance, experience, and knowledge with employees. 

  • Create open communication channels between all levels of employees within Acquirent, and act as a filter, when the situation dictates, to pass information along to upper level management.

  • Help each individual employee identify and improve upon their weaknesses and strengths

  • Propel the success of each employee at Acquirent

  • Build loyalty to reduce turnover, increase employees’ drive to succeed (i.e. passion), and retain intellectual capital.

  • Identify valued employees so their talent does not go underutilized, and is retained.

  • Open up another avenue for positive reinforcement to build confidence and the right attitude.

To provide employees with resources enabling them to better participate in the communities they choose to serve and, when appropriate, provide opportunities for employees to get involved with local not-for-profit organizations in Chicago and Evanston, with the intent to better our local communities and help team members build networks and bring awareness to the causes in which they believe.

    Pros

    They look out for you. If you work hard and take your seriously they will look out for you. There is no room for Slackers here. Instead, ACQ is great place to hone your professional skills - Sales especially. This is an Organization where SR MGMT is sitting in the Cube Next to you so they can share their expertise and support you not watch over you. They work hard to make sure you are trained and prepared to close deals if you have drive, the grit you will do well.
    They treat you like family - if you care they will too. I was in the hospital for a 3 week period and they told my wife not to worry about my income. I received a full months salary despite not being able to work. No other company would do that for you.
    They open doors. Reliable employees often have the opportunity to be hired by clients, move to more lucrative accounts if possible. This exposure to the business world can prove invaluable.
    Most importantly, they work very hard to bring integrity to sales - they focus on consultative, collaborative, value-based sales approach as opposed more negative approaches.

    Cons

    As a client-facing, services organization, margins are slim and up word mobility is limited for only those that excel in a tough sales culture. You will not make your fortune here but you will have a place to develop the skills that will lead you to earn that fortune down the rod.
