I worked at Adams Outdoor Advertising full-time (More than a year)
It was a great opportunity to get work experience on my resume, I learned a lot about what not to do in business. The creative team is one of the best and they really strive to go above and beyond for the clients. The company really wants good creative up in the market.
They say they will do a lot that never happens. There is literally NO training so when you first start it is extremely confusing and difficult. Depending on the office, they play favorites and are very obvious about it. You end up spending a LOT of money out of your own pocket on gas, miles on your vehicle and cell phone that never gets reimbursed. Management is extremely worried about the numbers and will do anything to make corporate stay off their backs. The CEO is very unfamiliar with how business is done these days and the systems in place are ancient due to the people in higher up positions not being tech savvy. They have an extremely high turnover rate and end up losing a LOT of really good employees in the process which ends up being blamed on the nature of the sales environment and not the management. As long as you "drink the kook-aid" you might do well.
Advice to Management
Follow through, update your systems and become more tech savvy. You might be selling billboards but the back end of the house needs to be upgraded so mistakes can be avoided. Stop letting clients fall through the cracks, the constant turnover is really hurting your business and causing clients to be forgotten about and lost.
