    Pros

"Loyal local employee base. Flexible with scheduling. Great benefits for part-time employees. Company continues expand. Company gets many awards for coverage. "

    Cons

"Micromanagement by the people up top. Countless budget cuts and restructuring. Company is losing money on print. Employee wages are very low compared to other media outlets in the area."

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Remove the union contracts for media employees. Why use an 3rd party outside agency to setup appointments for sales team? Why not use your talent more wisely?

I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at Advance Publications in August 2014.

    Interview Details

Very easy process. Found job through the newspaper classified ad section. Phone interview with basic questions, 1:1 interview pretty straight forward and a background check. Interview lasted about 30 mins. Manager explained, he'll get back to me. He interviewed a total of five people for the same job. He also explained the hourly, commission and benefits structure of the job. Human Resources staff was very nice.
