AdvizeX is a great company to work for and learn if you are in IT. They are partners with three of the major technology companies, HP, EMC, and VMware. With the backing of these solutions, they design solutions for their customers. AdvizeX customer base is usually small to medium size organization, ranging from food companies to healthcare. They provide their employees with an extensive amount of training to make sure they can meet their customers expectations.

Recently AdvizeX was aquired by Rolta. Their focus is changing to managed services. The one main problem with managed service for Rolta AdvizeX is that their customer base is small to medium size business that aren't interested in Oracle and SAP managed services. This has made it very challenging for sales and pre-sales engineers.

    Advice to Management

Stick with your sweet spot, even with the rise of the public cloud, there is still a tremendous opportunity to provide technology solutions to small and medium size business that maintain on-premise infrastructure.

I applied online. The process took 3+ monthsinterviewed at AdvizeX.

Met with 10 different people both in person and via phone - was promised an offer for 3 months only to learn that they are not actually hiring for the role until they have the projects in house to fund the role. Everyone was very nice and seemed professional. However, my advice to AdvizeX: Don't advertise for a position that you do not plan on hiring for, do not string candidates along making them believe they have an opportunity with your company only to learn the position doesn't really exist. Its a small world and you never know how an outcome like this may impact a future business opportunity for your company.
