For years, Affinnova received informal but overwhelmingly positive feedback from customers on post-launch performance of optimized concepts and executions. In 2011, the company formally assessed the in-market performance of new products optimized with its technology platform that ultimately launched, in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) Industry.
A comprehensive audit was conducted of all optimized products in the U.S. CPG industry over a five-year period from 2003-2008 – a total of 185 launches. The post-launch performance of these products was tracked through 2011 and compared against all other product launches occurring in the same categories over similar time-frames. The results showed that new products optimized with Affinnova technology achieved nearly double the new product success rates, measured by distribution and sales velocity at the end of a two-year period. Furthermore, these products generated 2.6 times more revenue than non-optimized new products, with an average improvement in two-year sales of nearly $15 million.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks – interviewed at Affinnova (Waltham, MA).
Applied online on a whim while looking for other similar positions (Forrester, GWfK, Nielsen, etc.). The process started about 5 days later when someone reached out to me to arrange a Skype interview. Two days later I was brought in for 3 one-hour interviews with two analysts and the hiring manager. Four days later, I was brought in for 2 one-hour interviews with two research directors and a 90 minute interview with two analysts. After sometime (I had an abroad commitment of 2 weeks for a personal) I was asked to come in for a 1.5-2 hour conversation with the CEO. A day later I was told to expect an offer letter, which I signed.
The entire process, although long, was very positive. I genuinely found myself excited to work with all of the people that I had interviewed with throughout and it seems that company is undergoing a paradigm shift in how it hires.
