Afni – Why Work For Us?

As a contact center, our focus is providing customer service experiences that go beyond normal expectations. We answer toll-free numbers and assist online customers with things like billing questions, product comparisons, password resets, general customer care questions, and account changes.

When you join Afni, you become part of the Afni family. A large one. Over 4,000+ team members provide service in our contact centers located in Opelika, AL; Evans, CO; Bloomington, IL; Bowling Green, KY; and 3 in Tucson, AZ. We also have international operations in Quezon City, Philippines.

A job in customer service gives you the foundation of skills needed for any career path, thanks to relevant training programs and on the job experience. Problem solving, team work, communication, sales, listening ... these are just a few of the skills you'll develop. There are plenty more reasons to work in a contact center; check out our Why Work Here tab.

We believe in moving people forward through award-winning training and professional career development. If you’re looking to get credit or earn a degree, we support that with discounts to select local and online colleges and our tuition reimbursement program.

When you’re on the front lines of customer service, you provide exceptional customer experiences every day. It's hard work, but rewarding. Not only do you have the power to make someone’s day, you have the potential to earn big rewards.

How much are we talking? That’s up to you.

All our front-line jobs come with a competitive hourly wage, and many have bonus potential. Many Afni agents earn hundreds of dollars more each month in bonuses. In addition to cash, we like to reward hard work with incentives such as TVs, gaming consoles, sporting event tickets, product discounts and more. Plus, we love having fun and showing our appreciation. We regularly have theme days, cookouts, community involvement, and other engaging activities.

Our lifetime referral program gives you another way to grow your paycheck. Refer your friends for one of our jobs and we’ll put extra money on your paycheck each month for as long as you both work at Afni.

What's not to love about that?

Why work in a contact center?

It's fun and good for your career.

A contact center is where companies manage customer contacts. People working in contact centers assist customers over the phone or on the internet through web chat.

They're great places to work. Here's why.

Two words: Job. Security.

Customer assistance isn't going anywhere. Consumers will always need help with products and services they buy. Plus, people expect service in a variety of places, times and ways. Phone, email, social media, chat ... customer service comes in a variety of forms and new ways are emerging.

Be comfy at work.

We're a bit more relaxed than you might think. Most contact centers are business casual or even casual (think jeans and sweatshirts).

Be a hero, not a pest.

In a contact center, you help people. Customers contact you when they need something. Some roles require you to reach out to customers, but most of the time, customers are contacting you. Bottom line, you get to problem solve and make someone's day so much better. Way to go, champ!

Join a team.

Life in a contact center is pretty social and fun. Sure, it takes some hard work, but you also work closely with a group of unique people. You learn from them, laugh with them, and hang out with them doing fun things like cookouts and theme days.

Develop a fierce set of skills.

A job in customer service gives you the foundation of skills needed for many career paths, thanks to relevant training programs and on the job experience. Problem solving, team work, communication, sales, listening ... these are just a few of the skills you'll develop. There are plenty more.

    Application Details

I applied online. The process took a dayinterviewed at Afni in September 2014.

    Interview Details

Very easy process. Was asked to come in anytime between 9AM to 3PM on Mon - Friday. Was given an assessment that took about an hour and a half. Three parts to it; Personality, Math and a Simulation of a Phone Call. After that I was directed to wait in the lobby (I waited for quite some time). Someone came to get me, asked me some basic interview questions, told me more about the position and the training program. You will need to sign up for a background check and drug test. Other than that there was nothing to it.

The training program that lasts 5 weeks is mandatory and no absences are tolerated. I was asked to pick from two times; A 6AM to 2:30PM class or A 3PM to 11:00PM class. Make sure you are available.
