I worked at Agilent Technologies full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

I've enjoyed working for Agilent for the past 14 years. Company values and employee culture were two of the strongest assets for me, personally.

    Cons

Rough times during the company restructuring periods. It was tough, but overall I believe the company did everything they could first before deciding to implement a workforce management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep the business a fun place to work. Retaining key contributors is easier when they like coming to work. Keep the benefits strong and keep the open door policy alive.

    R&D Electrical Engineer Interview

    Anonymous Employee
    Anonymous Employee
    Application Details

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at Agilent Technologies in February 2015.

    Interview Details

I was contacted by a recruiter who scheduled an interview with basic/typical questions. Then, the interview was followed by a technical phone interview. The recruiter failed to confirm a time for the technical interview and, therefore, I was surprised when a hiring manager called without notice. The technical interview consisted of about 30 qualitative electrical engineering questions, some of which are very specific.

    Interview Questions
    • I don't remember specific interview questions, but there seemed to be an excessive use of abbreviations and acronyms that are not common in the industry-at least in my experience. They were definitely wanting someone with more experience for what was advertised as an entry-level position.   Answer Question
    No Offer
    Negative Experience
    Difficult Interview
