I worked at Alan Wong's RestaurantsRecommendsRecommends
Everyone that worked at Alan Wongs and the Pineapple Room were friendly and hard working. Everyone for the most part pulled their own weight and had fun personalities. The environment is great, because it is a nicer restaurant and so while there are the occasional hard-to-please customers, most of the customers are out for a celebration or are used to higher end dining and aren't unreasonably demanding. The kitchen also takes pride in their work and it isn't very often that customers send back food. You receive a free lunch before the dinner shift, and the food is usually good. You also start accumulating paid vacation time after a year or so, which I don't believe is not very common for a restaurant. You also get health benefits if you work 20 hours or more.
Being a restaurant, there are blackout dates from Thanksgiving through December. This is understandable being a restaurant, but very difficult if you have a close knit family and children. Vacation time was also usually approved, but there would be times when they wouldn't approve the entire length of the vacation that you requested.
