I have been working at Albertsons part-time (more than 5 years)

Very easy to work around your schedule, reasonable pay increases, good people to work with for the most part.

The company is getting very much cheaper, so I don't know how much longer it'll be a great place to work. They're making cuts in many places, such as no more 5 cent bag refunds, and no complimentary coffee.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't be so cheap, let the coupons double, bags be refunded, that's what keeps the customers coming, I'm top of our great customer service.

Pretty simple. Applied online and within a week, you receive an email from the recruiter interested in setting up a phone interview. No in-person interview was mentioned as part of the process after the phone interview. Recruiter will ask questions you'd expect to be asked. They are basic and you should have the answers to them. Few behavioral questions.

Call it the incredible shrinking grocery chain. Albertsons LLC (formerly Albertson's) runs 200-plus Albertsons supermarkets in Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Texas. That's all that remains of what was once the nation's #2 supermarket operator with about 2,500 stores. Stung by competition, the firm sold itself to a consortium that included rival grocer SUPERVALU, drugstore chain CVS, investment firm Cerberus Capital Management, and Kimco Realty for about $9.7 billion in 2006. SUPERVALU and CVS cherry-picked the company's best supermarket... More
