I have been working at Alden Research Laboratory

Time-off policies are very flexible. The company tries to have fun events from time to time (summer party, winter party). Laid-back.

in July 2014 Alden laid off 11 of its 80 employees at HQ. A month and a half later, it began holding interviews for new candidates. It is rare to find a director or manager working an 8 hour day, but engineers and technicians work much more than 40 hours/week. HR (one person) is usually not available, and while multiple employees have submitted harassment claims concerning another employee, they have not been acted on.

The laboratory facilities would not pass an OSHA inspection.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You require expert knowledge/craftsmanship for complex studies, from computer models to environmental systems to nuclear power plant testing. Why do you think think low-balling and over-working your employees is sustainable?
