Learning and development
People of all backgrounds join AMS. Our Career Development Centre focuses on the development and growth of employees of all levels, in all disciplines. This is achieved through structured learning and peer-based development.
Our dedicated training programme is aligned to our competency framework, ensuring everyone in our business has the skills they need to excel in their role. Amongst other things, our trainers welcome new starters with an interactive induction day to broaden your knowledge around the AMS story so far. They also help our people managers understand how to manage and motivate their teams better. And they train our sourcing specialists and recruiters in the latest web-based sourcing techniques providing them with the skills to find talent and communicate more effectively – AMS has developed a Sourcing Accreditation Programme to encourage and recognise these skills for career progression in sourcing.

AMS negotiated the salary before commencing the interview process. Once that was settled, it was three very quick interviews. Upon the completion of the third interview, the HR rep at AMS called me to finalize the offer and confirm the salary to which everyone had agreed (including everyone in management). She said she was seeking some final approval, but that everyone was excited. I received a call yesterday telling me that they had to renege on the salary amount upon which the had initially agreed.
