Learning and development

People of all backgrounds join AMS. Our Career Development Centre focuses on the development and growth of employees of all levels, in all disciplines. This is achieved through structured learning and peer-based development.

Structured Learning

Our dedicated training programme is aligned to our competency framework, ensuring everyone in our business has the skills they need to excel in their role. Amongst other things, our trainers welcome new starters with an interactive induction day to broaden your knowledge around the AMS story so far. They also help our people managers understand how to manage and motivate their teams better. And they train our sourcing specialists and recruiters in the latest web-based sourcing techniques providing them with the skills to find talent and communicate more effectively – AMS has developed a Sourcing Accreditation Programme to encourage and recognise these skills for career progression in sourcing.

    Pros

    global opportunities with clients around the world. mainly based in europe but cracking the us market. number one in rpo.

    Cons

    pay seems very stagnant. if they improved pay it would be excellent place to work. internal process can be frustrating at times with communication.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    pay better. and charge clients more money in what we do. also provide better commercials to the business giving flexibility on pay.

    I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2+ weeks - interviewed at Alexander Mann Solutions in January 2012.

    Interview Details

    First spoke to Adecco (sub-contractor) recruiter, then Alexander Mann Solutions (RPO) recruiter, then RPO Americas lead for that client (Credit Suisse). Then met onsite with 2 of the client recruiters (one manager of recruiting) and 1 of the RPO recruiters. Last round was with Americas head in person.

    Originally was declined for offer then they decided to make offer. I rejected offer, they offered noticeably more $ and I accepted.
