    Pros

Great relaxed atmosphere with friendly employees Wonderful holiday meals Very relaxed management style Great projects while it lasted (product design and engineering is mainly done in Spokane, WA)

    Cons

Small Company; Below average pay. Communication between management and staff could definitely be better. Variety in specialty projects lessened after a while.

    Advice to Management

It's a bit too late to give advice now since most employees are gone. However, better communication would have helped.

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Alliance Machine Systems International (Spokane, WA) in March 2014.

    Interview

Interviewed with the Operations Manager. A "rough around the edges" fellow with a strong desire to do the right thing for the company but surrounded by others that have created a stuck in the mud mentality of resistance to change which as a result has rendered his efforts for productive change very slow and often unobtainable. He was rough talking, coming across more as a construction worker than a operations manager and was not forthcoming with the true employee problems that needed to be dealt with at the company.

    Interview Questions

    • If you had to fire someone how would you do it? How aggressive would you be with suppliers? Would you let them continually fail to deliver on time?   1 Answer

    Negotiation

Brief. I needed the job and the challenge and they offered low but I knew that once I had the job I would be able to show my true worth. I received 3 pay raises and two promotions after accepting the offer.
