I have been working at Alpine Electronics of America full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

This company is well known name in the industry but feels like working for family owned business. There's a genuine desire to have employees know they're cared for. Good benefit package. Medical coverage is very affordable. I've been here just under 10 years but the costs for medical have not increased. Nice to not be a small fish in a big pond. Due to being a smaller company - have the ability to get closer to the product - see many aspects of the product cycle - and be direct part of the outcome. Diverse culture work environment is pretty cool and the ability to travel...

    Cons

The Japanese culture can be too conservative sometimes and therefore actions and support for development or improvements can be slow or difficult to achieve. Great great potential but too careful in making the investments.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Sometimes it seems there isn't enough people to do the work or focus on the projects that really need to be done. Look at improved planning for resources.
