People are very talented in their functional area, hardly ever any weak links on a team. Very professional and member-oriented. Solid management, decent but not great professional development opportunities.
It's the chemical industry and people have a lot of preconceived notions about that field, some true, some not. The members are extremely skilled in what they do, but the industry is very mature and conservative. They innovate in products but not mentality.
Advice to Management
Provide more professional development opportunities and clarify the qualifications necessary to reach promotion or come in a certain level/title. There is a lack of consistency across levels and departments.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day – interviewed at American Chemistry Council (Washington, DC) in August 2012.
Was connected to the communications department of ACC by a friend. One of the directors personally contacted me to set up an informational interview, since no current openings were available. He set up a meeting with several communications staff.
