Amazing and affordable health benefits, as well as programs for employees - fitness classes, nutritionist, cafe, and gym on site. Beautiful, well-kept building. Company paid pension. The organization respects and honors the opinions and wishes of its members, and advocates on behalf of internists. CEO seems competent--not the one listed above, incorrect.

Outdated technology, especially when it comes to the email program that is used. Lack of communication, throughout - within and between departments. The majority of the staff has been there 10+ and become lax. They seem to all get away with doing the bare minimum and are miserable, yet won't leave because the benefits are so good. No camaraderie or feelings of teamwork. It's everyone for themselves, which unfortunately affects training and does not honor processes put in place. Inflexible when it comes to taking time off and telecommuting. Hard for a working parent or someone with a chronic illness to take any time to attend to anything during work hours. Telecommuting allowances in place, but not fair because only certain departments allow it. Too much business travel, which includes long work hours.

    Advice to Management

Work on communication skills, as well as building teamwork and camaraderie. Work on motivation.

I applied online. The process took 4+ weeksinterviewed at American College of Physicians (Washington, DC) in June 2015.

It took them about 2 to 3 weeks for them to review my application before they offered me an interview. After the phone interview they told me I made it to the next round which was a writing test. I submitted that and I waited another two weeks, but by then I had found another job. But overall I'm assuming the process would take about a month to month and a half.
