    Application Details

I applied online – interviewed at American Media.

    Interview Details

I knew something was sketchy about them from the get-go, from the way they undisclosed their publication and concealed every clue about them in the job description, but I proceeded to apply anyway. An interview was set up within a few days and I met with the assistant editor and two other execs. For an entry-level position, they pretty much went into the depths of my future in entertainment and celebrity news. Preferably, they'd like someone who wants to work in the realm of celebrity tabloids and gossip, which is not always great if you want to be taken seriously as a journalist. The interview questions were mostly celebrity news-focused and your (future) career revolving around it. Never received a response from them again as they did not even leave me their contact information.
