I have been working at American Museum of Natural History full-time (more than 3 years)

Talented, smart, creative and hard-working colleagues who are passionate about what they do, great atmosphere where you have the opportunity to learn something new every day. Great benefits.

Low salary; top-down management that sometimes treats staff like children.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Encourage staff to be creative, don't be reactionary of new ideas or fearful of innovation.

The director's assistant scheduled an interview for me for three weeks from the time we spoke. The interview went very well, but the job wasn't for me. However, the director was impressed with me and called some of her connections to try to help me find a better job somewhere else. Who does that? This woman was unreal. She was kind, helpful, and positive, understanding that the current job market is really tough.
