I worked at Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corporation

    Pros

Most of the staff is dedicated and care about their customers.
    Scheduling flexibility.

    Cons

Poor Leadership/ Seat of the Pants Management Mentality/ High staff turnover.
Unprofessional and Immature CEO. / Hostile Work Environment.
No room to grow. If you disagree with CEO will be targeted and fired.
Staff morale is poor, they fear retaliation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The AAWDC Board should monitor the high staff turnover... assess staff concerns. they will find a common complaint.
The tone needs to be set by Board to alleviate favortism and tempermental leadership and fluid policies and procedures ( if any).

    Application Details

I applied online. The process took 1+ weekinterviewed at Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corporation in August 2012.

    Interview Details

The interview included a 45 minute survey on the computer.
There were three interviewers (well one was listening offsite). The present two read prepared questions off the list. I was one of six interviewees for the position. The questions were not related to the position, but more insightful. I was asked few situational questions.
I prepared, however, my personal zeal did not include working in social work. I was a veteran wanting to work with less fortunate veterans.
