Perfect environment for the self-driven and ambitious. Not for toddlers needing their hand held.

I have been working at Argy, Wiltse, & Robinson P. C.

    Pros

I came to Argy after leaving a highly stressful environment I was in for five years and I couldn't be happier that I made the move. It was the exact environment that it was promised to be. They said that they do their best to maintain and foster a great life-balance, and that's what I found. Within three months of starting my job at Argy, I was enjoying a much higher quality of life. My free time afforded me the ability to go camping more, join the company softball team, commit to more community service events, spend more time with family, seriously date, get a dog, and start practicing with a band. The PTO is incredible as well. I've literally taken days off just to do laundry : )

    Cons

It's still public accounting and that's what I wish folks would realize before they post negative content. It's hard work and there's a lot of it to do. That's the industry we chose to be a part of. This industry is for anyone who likes to be productive, stay busy, and has a "Roll-up your sleeves" attitude. I can say with absolute confidence that I've learned more in this environment than any other I've been in. I have more vacation time than any other offer I had entertained, I received a healthy bonus for simply doing my job, and I'm happy as a clam in the decisions made by leadership.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

No advice. In fact, most companies could learn from this management team. The last time I checked, there weren't too many companies growing at the pace we've grown while fostering such a positive environment. Instead of giving any advice, I'd like to address another review which referred to me as a "Used Car Dealership Salesman." To that I say: I have a used 1992 Ford Taurus that drives like a dream for sale at a discounted price. If you buy today, you can drive away with no money down.
