Short & Long Term Disability
Short-term disability (STD) will provide you a weekly payment if you are disabled and unable to work beyond a certain number of days. Long-term disability (LTD) will provide you a payment if your disability extends over 26 weeks. Both plans are administered by Aetna.
At no cost to you, Asbury provides basic life insurance coverage, plus benefits for Accidental Death and Personal Loss. If you wish to have additional life insurance, you can elect to purchase supplemental life insurance coverage for yourself, your spouse and children through our supplier Aetna.
Flexible Spending Accounts
Asbury offers the following FSA plans so that you can have convenient payroll deductions on a pre-tax basis, and set the money aside to pay for certain eligible expenses, as shown below. These accounts are provided through Medcom.
HealthCare Spending Account: you may use the pretax dollars deducted from your paycheck to pay for out-of-pocket medical, dental, or vision expenses such co-pays, deductibles, co-insurances, etc.
Dependent-Care Spending Account: you can use the pretax dollars to pay child or elderly care.
Health Savings Account
Asbury offers a Health Savings Account (HSA) administered by Bank of America. Enrollment for the HSA is only eligible for the Base Model Medical Plan or Base + Out-of-Network coverage. Maximum annual contribution is $3300 single or $6550 family. If over the age of 55, an additional $1000 annual contribution is permitted.
401 (k) Plans
The 401(k) Plan is an excellent way to save for your retirement. Fidelity offers many choices of investment funds, and you can defer up to 75% of your pay on a pre-tax basis. After one year of employment, Asbury provides a per paycheck company match to non-highly compensated employees.
Employee Assistance Program
All Asbury employees are automatically enrolled into the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) on the day you are hired. This coverage provides you and all members of your household confidential access to unlimited phone consultations, limited private consultations for issues with drug or alcohol abuse, marital and relationship counseling, parenting issues, stress, as well as bereavement counseling, crisis intervention, financial counseling, legal counseling, discounts and referrals.

Asbury Technical Institute (ATI)
ATI is a technical training center designed by Asbury Automotive Group to recruit and train our own technicians. With the industry growth, high demand in service and the lack of skilled technicians in the United States, Asbury decided to develop our own training centers. The first center opened June 23, 2014 in Atlanta, GA. Asbury has hired experienced automotive service trainers to develop the curriculum and train our talent. The 12-week courses will be held Monday through Friday from 9am-5pm and will teach the fundamentals of the shop:

The classes have been designed with manufacturers to make sure we meet the industry’s demand for skill set. You will get hands-on experience with both import and domestic brands.

As a new employee, you will be placed in the week long course immediately after you are hired. The course will define the “12 steps of the road to the sale”. Other components of the course include working with a customer relations management (CRM) system, basic phone skills, and internet retail. Once you complete the course you will start at the dealership. One week of training is never enough; luckily we have sales trainers who will follow up with you 30, 60 and days 90 into your job to help you along the way.
Service Training 101
In a fast-paced environment it’s crucial for you to have a head-start on basics before serving customers. Service Training 101 is designed to prepare Asbury service advisors for the first day of work in the Service Department.

The Finance & Insurance Training course is designed to prepare you with an understanding of the duties of an automotive financial service manager. The course will introduce you to company and state regulated polices, state regulated products, discussing paperwork with a customer, discussing APR rates, understanding bank fees, the delivery process, dealing with manufacturer and third party lenders, and giving a menu presentation. We will also teach you how to read a credit application, pull a bureau, and how to prevent fraud.

Manager in Training (MIT)
The management in training (MIT) program is designed to develop and train recent college graduates and military officers for future leadership opportunities. We focus on hiring a diverse pool of trainees who can be placed in leadership roles throughout our stores and that are open to relocation. The MIT program is designed to take you from a sales associate to a general sales manager role within 7-8 years. Then be evaluated for as a potential general manager candidate. The step is a general introduction and observation of all departments of the dealership. The next step is taking on each role in a dealership:
• Sales associate
• Finance manager
• New car manager
• Used car manager
• General sales manager
You spend 12-24 months in each role within the dealership. There are monthly progress meetings with a regional mentor and their direct report. To help guide you through the MIT performance expectations outlined for each position before moving forward.
