I worked at Aston Carter full-time (more than 3 years)

Excellent induction period, well structured L&D department, many opportunities to grow your career and salary, teams are committed and very supportive to each other, sales targets are within reach. You are expected to work hard and long hours, but it pays of if you commit. Great place to build your sales foundation over every discipline (account managent, recruitment and business development) This is a sales job, so pushing yourself to the max is what is expected and what you sign up for. If you are not up for this, then don't go for it.

HR department is receptive to pressure from management, secrets will not be kept. After Allegis acquired Aston Carter many of the values and work methodologies which made the company great disappeared. Local management is underdeveloped. They acquire these position due to sales targets being met, their commitment and work ethic, but not because of their social, management or leadership capabilities.

    Application Details

I applied online. The process took a weekinterviewed at Aston Carter in September 2012.

    Interview Details

Initial telephone call from the in-house Recruiter. This was just a screening exercise, preparing you for a face to face interview.

Face to face interviews last for several hours altogether and are with a number of different Senior Consultants and/or Team Leaders before the Sales Manager or Director speaks with you.

If you fail to impress one Consultant, you will not be progressed to the next. You are asked a lot of the same questions. Mainly around your motivations in life. Big focus on wanting to make money and why.

TIP: Don't be afraid to talk about wanting to make money. Also, don't assume your answers are being shared with the next interviewer. They're not, so answer questions in the same way if asked same question multiple times.
