I have been working at Astrocom full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Fast paced learning allows you to get a wide array of experience in many different areas of the networking realm. The mediocre training that I received was complimented well by the vast number of challenges that were thrown my way.

    Cons

There were a lot of times where I would need assistance, but my manager would not help me. Rather, the manager would ask the senior engineers to do the training (a.k.a. his job). I never had one review the whole time that I have been there, and was only given advice for improvement by my peers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get a new Technical Support Manager. If the manager does not give reviews, give assistance when asked to, or provide a productive and professional work environment, then they should *not* be in a position of leadership.

    Technical Support Engineer Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate  in  Plymouth, MN

    Application Details

I applied through other source. The process took 1 week - interviewed at Astrocom in October 2013.

    Interview Details

The Lead Developer, his secretary, and the Technical Support Manager all interviewed me in their street clothes (ie. jeans, t-shirts, and unshaven beards) in a panel style approach. They didn't ask very difficult questions since my friend referred me.
