In addition to helping the dreams of aspiring authors come true in the US and Canada, we also offer self-publishing imprints in the UK, Spain, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.
All the services an author would need
Our comprehensive suite services include everything from prepublication services, such as editing and illustrations, to publishing design and formatting, to marketing and publicity, to distribution in all print and digital formats. In fact, we currently have more than 130,000 titles available for all e-book readers.
Hollywood has noticed
Along with helping authors get their books into the hands of readers, we have also helped them get their work into the hands of Hollywood entertainment executives who are looking for new ideas for film and television. Our unique Book-to-Screen services and Book-to-Screen Pitchfest give authors unprecedented access to entertainment executives who want to find new material to adapt for the screen and stage. We have also created a one-of-a-kind database called the Author Solutions Hollywood Database, which can only be accessed by qualified entertainment executives who want to peruse our tagged content to find the next big idea for the big screen or television series.

Getting an Interview
- Application Details
I applied online. The process took a week – interviewed at Author Solutions.Interview Details
I applied online using a resume and online form/application. The waiting period was about a week to hear back via email. Was called for an in-person interview with the person who would become my future boss. Interview was very casual and laid back, questions were very standard: What do you know about the company? Why do you want to work here? Where do you see yourself in 5 years and why? What were your favorite things about past positions before applying here?
After the interview, there was a short "writing test" administered, to test knowledge of grammar, style and overall writing ability. It took less than a half-hour to complete and was very basic.Interview Questions
Negotiation DetailsNo negotiation on pay, but it was my first job out of college so I didn't have much power. I was sent an employee agreement with my offer of salary and had to accept or reject the offer within 24 hours.Accepted OfferPositive ExperienceEasy Interview
- I was asked if the nature of the job would bother me (a very routine, monotonous work environment). Of course I said no, because I wanted the job and was wearing rose-colored glasses at the time. Answer Question
