    Pros

    Great & challenging environment to work for.
    Competitive but compelling work place.
    Pretty decent compensation.
    Mature corporation but start-up work environment --> good benefits + good technical learning experience.

    Cons

    Trainings available for new hires but it is not sufficient and 100% related to on-going projects.
    But at the end of the day, you can still meet the objectives yet with great pains and effort.
    No pains no gains, so it's worth it. It gave me a boost in technical skills after spending weeks/months in the lab for debugging & developing.

    Advice to Management

    It's R&D I understand. But cut variety and focus on mandatory projects. It will help better with group management as well as project management. In a long run, it will cut costs & make employees happy.
    So far so good on our management, but it can be better. Cheers for the hard work and prepare for the harder work to come.

    Application

    I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 4 weeksinterviewed at Avago Technologies (Norcross, GA) in December 2014.

    Interview

    Initially hiring manager talked over the phone. Then a technical phone interview for about 45 mins. This was followed by a whole day onsite face to face interview (apx. 6 hrs), Several technical rounds with couple of interviews by managers.

    There were several C programming questions on data structure and algorithms. particularly few questions on trees.

    They went through my resume in great detail. There were some personality type questions too. e.g.. what will you do when someone comes with a problem when you are about to leave the office

      - write a C function to reverse a linked list
      - write an algorithm to find lowest common ancestor between two nodes of a binary tree
      - solve tower of hanoi problem
