    Pros

    Nice working conditions and provisions.

    Cons

Very political with regard to whom gets promoted, no matter how much work you put in.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more fair with regard to promoting by seniority, and not on which Kansas college you graduated from.

    Neutral Outlook

    Architectural Intern Interview

    Application Details

I applied online. The process took 4 weeksinterviewed at BRR Architecture in October 2012.

    Interview Details

I was first called up to do a phone interview with the VP of human resources. The interview went well and they were very nice. A week later I was called back to schedule a skype interview with the office in San Francisco. That interview went well too, but certain things that the VP of human resources said clashed with what the people in the SF office were saying (how the office ran, programs used).

The next week I get a very generic email from the HR department saying "thanks for submitting my resume but the position was filled." I was disappointed that they couldn't spend five minutes to send a personalized email saying why I wasn't hired, or what I could do differently in the future.

In the end I feel they didn't value my time, and the office in SF needs to communicate better with their corporate headquarters in Kansas CIty.
