With a history dating back to 1879, Bankers Life products focus on the insurance needs of the middle-income retirement market through nationwide subsidiaries of CNO Financial Group, Inc. These companies offer a broad portfolio of life and health insurance designed especially for those near and in retirement.
From more than 300 offices across the country, our agents—more than 5,000 agents in all—live and work in the communities they serve. Our agents take the time to get to know customers, listen to their needs and understand their values—with a goal to help customers reach their goals for a secure retirement.
A message from Scott L. Goldberg
With a history dating back to 1879, there are some things that never change. At Bankers Life, that means taking a personalized approach to help protect the individuals and families we serve. We begin by getting to know our customers—expect our insurance agents to ask a lot of questions. We focus on understanding how well consumers are prepared and how we can help them improve upon their financial security, particularly as they enter and navigate retirement. Our solutions are simply designed so that nearly every American can use them.
Strength in numbers
The size of our agent force is among the very top in the nation, with more than 5,000 dedicated agents across more than 300 U.S. sales offices. In 2013, we served more than 1.4 million policyholders and managed over $14 billion in assets.
Extensive product portfolio
Through nationwide subsidiaries of CNO Financial Group, Inc., we are one of the industry’s largest providers of Medicare supplement and long-term care insurance. We also carry an array of life insurance products, annuities and supplemental health insurance options.
Service you can trust
Our agents live in the communities they serve and travel to the homes and businesses of their clients. We can show you how to help safeguard against unexpected health costs, generate guaranteed income, protect loved ones and promote an enduring legacy.
Thank you for your interest in Bankers Life.

At Bankers Life, we take pride in supporting causes that affect our customers and their families. Through strong partnerships with the Alzheimer’s Association, Meals on Wheels Chicago and Military Warriors Support Foundation, we’re making a meaningful impact in the communities we serve.
The Alzheimer’s Association is the world’s leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer’s care, support and research. More than 5 million Americans today struggle with Alzheimer’s disease, and that number is expected to increase significantly. To grow awareness and financial support, Bankers Life organizes the annual Forget Me Not Days®, a nationwide fundraising campaign now in its 12th year. Since 2003, we’ve helped raise more than $3.7 million for the Alzheimer’s Association.
Meals on Wheels Chicago
Bankers Life believes all individuals, especially homebound seniors and people with disabilities, should have the opportunity to live independently and with dignity in their own homes. That’s why we proudly support Meals on Wheels Chicago. For more than 25 years, this organization has supported programs offering needy residents more choices in their care and living arrangements, despite their age, income or ability.
Military Warriors Support Foundation
Bankers Life partners with the Military Warriors Support Foundation to help combat-wounded heroes and families as they transition to civilian life. Through Homes 4 Wounded Heroes, a financial mentoring program, six families each year are awarded mortgage-free homes. The three-year mentor relationship helps put veterans on the path to a solid financial future.

I applied through a recruiter – interviewed at Bankers Life.
Was misled by the recruiting agent to believe I was coming in for a one on one interview. In fact, it was a group interview in a classroom setting. Very impersonal, if informative - the job is that of a glorified telemarketer, harassing the elderly in the attempt to make a sale. Pay is 100% commission. Maybe that will work for you, but it doesn't work for me.
