    Pros

Awards people who show initiative, good work ethic, and good technical writers that document the safety assessments and hazard reports. Great customers (NASA, etc) to work with. Friendly, competent, hard working, good people.

    Cons

Sometimes hard to know if management can be trusted or what criteria they use when determining pay raises. Raises are generally cost of living. People are sometimes not given the proper training to do the job because of time constraints.

    Advice to Management

Give workers more help with writing technical documents. Have a mentoring program. Give employees a chance to be creative and not just stick to forms that may not lend themselves for additional, pertinent information that could improve hazard control rationale.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeksinterviewed at Bastion Technologies (Houston, TX).

    Interview

Interviewed with the client that Bastion supported. Met with 2 engineering managers, we got along well, it was a fun interview. I would say that I was told the full story regarding why they were hiring for this position. I had a short interview with the Bastion hiring manager, but it was pretty pro-forma, I.e., could i fog a mirror?

    Negotiation

    There was no negotiation.
