I worked at Beau Rivage Resorts part-time (less than an year)

They are truly focused on giving the best service possible to their guests. They also realize that guest satisfaction happens when their employees are happy. They have tons of programs to see that their employees are happy and well taken care of.

In my department, there is only one way to get hired: on a temporary and part-time basis. That means that you do not get any insurance at all, no emergency health leave (which is why I had to quit), and no guarantees. Life is great once you're permanent full-time, but getting there leaves you open and vulnerable to a lot of unforeseen circumstances that could cost you a job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider allowing your temporary employees some sort of leave (even unpaid) in case of emergencies. It isn't particularly fair to make them leave their job because of something beyond their control.

Initial contact notoriously takes a while; they will urge you to select another position if you haven't heard anything within about a month. The interviews were extensive; I went through three for a temporary position. They are incredibly knowledgeable about the business and who they want representing their company.
