Overall a good company to work for. Good benifits, fair compensation and decent quality of life benefits like vacation, personal time, stock option etc..

The commission structure was always being changed. A very nepotistic environment, if you underperformed and were in the right crowd you were untouchable regardless. Unable to be competitive with product pricing was a frequent issue.

    Advice to Management

To be proactive rather than reactive. Be more reactive to local market climate. Management more concerned about their golden parachute than actually being productive and adding to overall profitability of the organization.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeksinterviewed at Birks And Mayors (Vancouver, BC (Canada)) in September 2013.

I submitted the application online, after 2 days got the phone call to inform me to do the interview. The first session, The store director interviewed me. After one week, the general manager interviewed me. The main questions was, why do you think you can work for Birks? What's the most challenge for co-work?
