BHC offers comprehensive Disability Pay, Life and Accident Insurance Plans that provide eligible employees and their families with substantial financial protection. If you need more coverage than the company provides, you have the option to purchase additional life insurance coverage at excellent group rates.

Company – Paid Benefits

Short-Term Disability: Short-Term Disability Pay is provided to eligible employees who incur a disabling physical or mental condition that temporarily prevents them from working.

Long-Term Disability: Long-Term Disability Pay is provided to eligible employees who are unable to return to work. The benefit may provide a monthly benefit — a percentage of monthly earnings — to a maximum benefit amount.

Life Insurance: Employees are provided a level of life insurance at no cost to them.

Travel and Accident: Five times annual base salary; not to exceed $1,000,000.

Managing Your Health

BHC is committed to providing the information and tools you need to stay healthy, manage illness and feel better faster. Through our healthcare program that includes medical, dental, vision and prescription drug coverages, eligible employees and their dependents are shielded from high medical expenses.

The corporation subsidizes a large portion of the cost of employee premiums. The employee portion of premiums is deducted on a pre-tax basis.

• Prescription Mail Order Cost Savings Option
  Employees can elect to save on maintenance medication prescriptions; a 90-day supply at a 60-day supply cost.
  
  Healthcare Flexible Spending Account
  Save money on your federal income taxes by contributing to a Health Care Flexible Spending Account. You set aside a certain amount from each pay period on a pre-tax basis, capped by an annual maximum, to pay your share of medical, dental and vision expenses that your BHC healthcare benefits do not cover, such as co-pays, deductibles, approved over-the-counter drugs and medications. As you pay for these expenses, you are reimbursed from your account on a tax-free basis.
   
• Supplemental Health
  Supplemental coverage is available at a group rate. Supplemental products are fully portable.

Planning For Your Future

401(k) and BHC match
The 401(k) program offers you the opportunity to accumulate savings for your future and retirement years by contributing to your 401(k). Contributions are deducted from your pay. These savings are invested in options that you choose. BHC stock is one option. BHC will also match, up to a certain percentage, your investment in the 401(k) program. Employees who take advantage of this benefit accumulate savings faster.

BHC's Unified Incentive Program rewards eligible employees with a financial bonus when specific corporate and business unit financial goals are met.

Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account
Save money on your federal income taxes by contributing to a Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account. As you pay for these dependent care expenses, you are reimbursed from your account on a tax-free basis.

Tuition Reimbursement
Employees can receive tuition and textbook reimbursement for post-secondary job related courses, up to an annual maximum.

Computer Purchase Program
Employees may finance computers or electronic planners through the company by means of payroll deductions. No interest is charged.

Scholarships for Employees’ Children
Participating subsidiaries offer scholarships to eligible employees’ children who are graduating from high school.
