In an effort to develop a pipeline of high caliber talent with the intention of hiring interns upon graduation, the Blackhawk Network Internship Program is designed to introduce college students to Blackhawk. The goal is to recruit talented students to work on meaningful projects, make a contribution to the organization, and ultimately extend the students' learning opportunities beyond the traditional classroom setting.
There are several requirements Blackhawk considers when recruiting our Interns:
- Student should be in their Junior or Senior year of college (should not have graduated college).
- Student’s college major and skill-set should be applicable to the open intern assignment.
- Both the Hiring Manager and Student’s long-term goal would to be hired into a FTE position upon graduation.
The intern program is structured to benefit the organization and to allow the student an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional work environment. Throughout their assignment, Interns have an opportunity to network with other interns at various events, partner with a manager with a professional background within the career field represented by the internship, and present a final project to Blackhawk Network employees outlining the experience gained during their assignment.

I do not think the executives realize how much work we do as account managers considering the salary disparity.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks – interviewed at Blackhawk Network (Pleasanton, CA).
1 phone screen and one onsite interview, Was offered very low salary and recruiter was not all responsive. Don't know if this was his attitude or the company's. I went for another offer. They just did not seem to care about losing someone they selected after spending so much time on interviewing. Must say I was totally disappointed since I did not expect this from a Company I wanted to get into for a long time.
