    In spite of agile environment, little development gets done compared to what is needed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Remove the "Bluetooth Staff" parking spaces. Devote more energy to influencing members and less time to marketing the products. Manufacturers are doing that well enough.

    I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 weeksinterviewed at Bluetooth SIG in September 2014.

    Interview Details

    Phone screen went well pretty standard questions. Took 4 days to set up in person interview. It was panel interview with 3 people with QA manager taking up most of the time. The actual testing questions weren’t overly difficult. I was confused with some of the process questions. I have over 20 years of testing experience, lost count how many teams and projects I worked on. Each team had its own way of doing things, when I told the interviewer multiple way to handle escalation, deliverable, who decide when to ship … he said it was an ad hoc way of doing things implying there is only one way that is right.

    The biggest complain I have is that they never got back to me – no feedback at all. Is it hire, no hire, any feedback on what they like or didn’t like? When you send in resume to companies and you never hear from them well that is unfortunately common, but not saying anything after a phone screen and in person interview that is very unprofessional. The interview by itself would be 4 star but because of no feedback at all that makes it a 1 star for me.

    Prior to interview I have looked over their website. It could use great deal of improvement in usability and over all UI appearance. Navigating through the site it lacked uniformity, I seen three different style of page design, links did not work, search box wrapping into two lines, error message showing up in a page after successful search, event speaker pictures were blurry and too small and many other UI bugs.

    This company is in charge of setting/managing standard for Bluetooth technology but based on their web page they have no business of doing so. After all they can’t even make a standard website with clear, crisp, well-functioning features with the same look and feel through their entire website. If I would be company with new Bluetooth technology asking to be approved … well I be questioning their competence of judging my product for quality.
