I worked at Bombardier Aerospace full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Awesome benefits! Night shift not good on the family life. Training limited for store clerks. Your partner can make or break you, depends on who you are working with each night. There are some awesome people there to work with and some not so awesome. Overall a good experience, I was there four years and learned a lot from fellow workers.

    Cons

No where to move up. Good time off, holidays are tough to work around because everyone wants to be off before and after a holiday. Bombardier is a 7 day, 24 hour facility, so that means you could work on a major holiday if a plane is pushing, you will not know if you are going to have off up until the last minute in some cases. Hard to plan a life with all that going on. Not a whole lot of information being shared, to many to do lists being passed down to night shift.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If we really have a say in what direction we are going, why not ask what we think and how we should get there since we are the ones doing the job. We could give you real time answers instead of just someone sitting behind a desk who does not have a clue as to what the job really entails. Make everyone be a team player or they need to go, could be an awesome place to work if everyone stepped up and did their fair share.

Be prepared to wait and wait. Interview is the same questions that they have used for the past 15 years. If you are hiring on direct be prepared to negotiate. Typical phone with HR and then with the manager and then a round table with managers, HR rep and leads. Nothing changes in the questions.
