-Awesome schedule (for visual) - M-F, no evenings, no weekends -Discount - 20% + coupons -Paid holidays off (visual) -Being a visual merchandiser is the best job. You work extremely hard, but I had fun every single day -Met some amazing people
-Not a ton of opportunity to move up -I feel like this happens everywhere in retail - but there were NEVER enough employees scheduled to keep the store clean/assist customers. I frequently had to leave projects/tasks to help people -I hated seeing sales associates have meltdowns at work - just too few resources and payroll to juggle large tasks and assist customers
Advice to Management
Most of the managers at my location were awesome, but to those few: stop being lazy, quit eating your chips in the training room and get your s*&% together And for those corporate suits: more payroll = more associates = happier customers

I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at Bon-Ton Stores (Lockport, NY).
Applied online. Set up interview online as well. Went to interview and got hired on the spot. A couple days later, I started training. It was a pretty easy interview and it was only with the hiring manager. Looked at your resume while talking to you in office. Worked in the mens and home department. Great people and love the customers.
