I worked at Boston Medical Center HealthNet Plan as a contractor (Less than a year)RecommendsNeutral OutlookRecommendsNeutral Outlook
Great staff of healthcare professionals who care about providing coverage to those who would otherwise have none.
Too many meetings, and a few of these are conducted without an agenda. Some also end without any actionable plan or resolution.
In addition, upper management appears to be bleeding dollars on expansion ventures into other states.
Advice to Management
Gain control of expansion by reviewing the current expansion plan and finding ways to contain costs. As money is lost, so are jobs, and that has an effect on the quality of product that customers receive.

I applied online. The process took 2+ months – interviewed at Boston Medical Center HealthNet Plan (Boston, MA).
It was long and drawn out. I applied on line and didn't hear any thing for 4-5 weeks. Then I was called for an interview, then had 2 more interviews a week a part. (3 interviews for a staff position) I can't imagine how many interviews the CEO had.It took another 2 weeks before I was offered the job
- I was not really asked any difficult questions. 1 Answer
No negotiation. It was a take it or leave it situation.
