I worked at Boston Red Sox

As one might expect, it's a very "team-centered" environment. With a relatively small number of employees, I felt like they did a pretty good job of bringing us all together and making us feel like we were all working towards the same goal. The benefits were solid, as were the perks. There are lots of smart, motivated people working there.

The traditional "office" setting doesn't seem right for a place that does such unique work. I would have liked to see more creative thinking in terms of schedules, workplace atmosphere and interaction between departments. Also, some people developed an air of superiority that I assumed was because of the job - not appealing.

As expected, the more important the job title of the person you're interviewing with, the harder the questions. Expect to interview with several people before being offered a position. The folks in human resources are beyond nice and accommodating. There is no such thing as being overdressed when interviewing with the team. The better you are dressed, the more it says to them that you want the position that you are seeking.

LYou might say this team is now a curse on the other clubs in Major League Baseball. Boston Red Sox Baseball Club operates one of the oldest and most storied sports franchises. Founded as a charter member of the American League in 1901, the team owns seven World Series titles but at one time suffered through an 86-year championship drought popularly attributed to "The Curse of the Bambino." Boston broke The Curse in 2004 and then won its seventh championship three years later. Red Sox fans root for their home team at venerable Fenway Park, the oldest pro baseball stadium... More
