    Positive Outlook

I have been working at BroadSign full-time (More than 3 years)

Team leader strikes a good balance between keeping us in the loop of current projects and leaving us room for initiative. Good give-and-take from whole team. Some involvement in pretty much everything the company does. Other departments interested in sharing experience, tools and knowledge. Meritocracy is the right way to go : you want to be fairly recognized. At the same time, very big on the mentality of "Ok, you made a mistake, whatever. How do we fix it ?"

Work can be hectic, but it keeps life exciting. You are left to yourself to find the best tools to do your job. Each department has their own issues and can take a lot of time (and little interest) in helping you fixing yours. It's getting better though.

    Advice to Management

Continue encouraging initiative and social interactions, especially between different departments, and continue promoting the company as a single entity that sinks or floats together.

    Average Interview

I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at BroadSign (Montreal, QC (Canada)) in January 2015.

There was a first phone interview with the recruiter with general questions, salary, availability, background, etc... Before proceeding to the next step, they sent me an online coding test to evaluate my technical skills. The third step was an in-person interview with the recruiter, a software architect and a senior developer.

    Interview Questions
