I applied through other source. The process took 3 weeks - interviewed at BuildDirect in January 2014.Interview Details
1st round is a call with HR. Your basic first phone interview... here's the company, here's the role, tell me about yourself,
2nd round is interview with HR, a current employee in a similar role and a Director. Pretty structured but essentially it consisted of 4 questions for each position listed on your resume: i) what was your biggest accomplishment ii) what was the result iii) what was your challenge iv) what would your boss (at that time) say about you.
3rd round is a meeting with your potential new boss/team.
Perception of culture is a high-energy start-up. The office is buzzing with activity. The only thing I could see as a challenge is that it's set up like a classroom, meaning rows of tables and several employees sitting side-by-side in close proximity at each table. Probably good for collaboration but bad for getting any type of privacy.Interview Questions

- How would you describe working with your former boss and why? Answer Question
Founded in 1999, and still privately held today, we are a Vancouver-based technology company that is knocking down walls, changing the foundation and building a smarter, simpler and empowered home improvement industry. We love the people we work with and the culture we've built. For us, curiosity is a mindset that sees a problem as the start of a great solution. We believe the best learning and greatest discoveries come from trying, even if you fail. We love that we aren't perfect, but every day we are trying to get better at what we do.
