I worked at Bunker Hill Community College part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

I worked in the tutoring center for over 2 years. Schedules are pretty flexible, amount of work is not too much, and co-workers and managers are always eager to help you in any way. Sometimes there will be question that, as a tutor, you are not able to answer. It is to say "I don't know" or "I don't remember" and manager actually endorse these type of answers when a tutor does not remember a particular topic.

    Cons

The amount of hours are limited to 25hr/wk during off-school season.

    Application Details

I applied through other source. The process took 5 weeksinterviewed at Bunker Hill Community College in August 2013.

    Interview Details

Interviewing process was wonderful, very friendly and helpful. I found the people interviewing me to be very interested in what I had to say, and they also provided honest feedback on BHCC traditions and developments. I also got a lot of feedback on student body, specifics on demographics and specifics about Bunker Hill as compared to other colleges, technical or traidtional 4-year programs.

    Interview Questions
    • Ironically, was BHCC's inability to process my resumé sent from a Mac! That confounding problem was resolved after a couple weeks of bafflement.   View Answer
    Negotiation Details
Very direct, no hiccups. While the pay is reasonable, it is very helpful that the MTA was able to negotiate a pay increase for Adjunct Faculty.
