CDS Global is fully committed to offering ongoing educational training to our employees. The following list includes some of the training programs that are currently available to CDS Global employees:
Global Training fosters management, communication, team development, personal development, technical skills and PC classes.
During Customer Care training, representatives are trained to become an extension of a client's staff through a 24-week training session. The first four weeks are dedicated to system, customer service and product knowledge instruction. The remaining 20 weeks of on-the-job training consist of weekly coaching, quality monitoring and performance support.
Operations provides training to employees who work in Magazine Operations, Products Operations and Data Capture Services Operations to execute job-specific tasks. Operations training facilitates the transitions of new clients and supports processing enhancements and new equipment integration.
Mailing Services Training
The Tipton and Wilton facilities provide on-the-job training to all entry-level employees. Specific training varies by department. Additionally, employees may receive training on safety-related topics such as proper lifting, ergonomics and hearing conservation.
CDS Global has partnered with Skillsoft to offer online training to employees. Skillsoft is a leader in e-Learning courseware for business skills, leadership skills training, project management skills training and IT-certification courseware.
Types of Internship Programs
There are two types of programs available:
Summer full-time internships: A minimum of 10 weeks beginning in May/June.
Year-round part-time internship: Your schedule must permit you to work at least 16 hours per week during the school year, with the opportunity to work full-time during the summer. Resumes may be submitted anytime throughout the year.
- You must be enrolled in an accredited college.
- You must be in good standing with the college or university.
- You must have completed most general education courses and declared a major.
- You must meet the qualifications outlined in the available job posting.

Does CDS Global assist with housing?
CDS Global has partnered with AIB College of Business in Des Moines to offer housing for the summer, conveniently located a block away from our Bell Avenue location. Prices vary based on the number of bedrooms in the apartment. AIB can assign a roommate, and apartments are partially furnished with beds, dressers, a table, chairs, a sofa and a love seat. This apartment checklist contains a list of suggested items to bring. CDS Global will put you in touch with AIB representatives to make housing arrangements.
