I worked at CHF Industries full-timePros
Great, creative people (especially entry level through mid-level management).
Great coworkers and managers that are willing and able to mentor new hires, formulating a very supportive community and educational experience.
Most executives are wonderful - the CEO, EVP, most VP's are very friendly and truly care about their people as if they are family.
Excellent learning environment - a great place to start out a career, especially with the highly visible licensed brands.
Excellent environment that facilitates the development of oversea's relationships.
Holiday parties, birthday parties, baby showers, about once a month - small perks sprinkled throughout the year - creates wonderful opportunities to get a break from the day and strengthen interpersonal relationships.Cons
Late hours, depending on department.
Mediocre infrustructure / technology.
Overwhelming push for productivity - more than many competitors - great for getting a lot of experience within a short time period, but runs the risk of burning out designers in the long-run.
Incredibly slow growth from point of entry - promotions are rare unless someone resigns.
No physical HR in corporate office - makes human resources issues difficult to communicate.
Salary is non-competitive considering productivity expectations. Bonus incentives would be a big motivator.Advice to ManagementAdvice
Learn to say "Thank You" and "Job Well Done" to ALL mid-level and lower-level employees - some of us are treated better than others, leading to employee resentment. We ALL need encouragement and positive reinforcement in order to keep the engines running.RecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEO
