    Pros

    My co-workers attitude and opportunities for growth. I worked with a good group of people that were supportive, professional and worked hard to accomplish the program commitments. I was also given many opportunities to grow in areas that have helped me develop my career.

    Cons

    It was difficult to plan ahead, supporting three or four different programs at different stages of development. Especially, when anomalies or quality issues in production occurred that had to be addressed and dispositioned quickly.

    Advice to Management

    Remove two-tiered Senior Management and staff barriers. Treat workers with respect and listen to their concerns and recommendations. Maybe, we did all that could be done, and the company fell, because we couldn't get new products to market that the customer wants.

    I applied online – interviewed at COM DEV International.

    Interview

    Applied on company website. Received HR feedback after about 2 weeks, proposing an telephone interview. The phone interview was led by hiring manager, a senior team member and one HR representative (silent). The manager started with an extensive description of his team role and responsability. Then passed the ball to me, asking about my current role and interests. interview was professional and efficient, many challenging questions mostly behavioural. At the conclusion, I had a very good feeling and manager offered to meet in person. HR coordinated my trip to Cambridge, covering flight and accommodation expenses. The HR rap welcomed my arrival, he was extremely gentle and professional. Then the formal interview commenced, again with hiring manager and same senior member. The interview was very detailed, concerning both the job type and my career motivations. Some technical questions were raised, but rather standard. I had the impression focus was on my interpersonal skills and potential to growth. Second part was face-to-face with HR, talking about salary, benefits, etc. This was also quite straightforward and pleasant. I was offered a tour of facilities. Finally, I was informed I would have been informed about outcome. Overall, it was a very professional and pleasant process. I really had the feeling I was welcome by the organisation and they wanted me to be comfortable.
