I worked at Cadbury Adams USA full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Benefits were very good, they offered tuition reimbursement and room to grow in the company. Friendly people and working conditions. I enjoyed my career there and would have remained until I retired had they not been bought by Kraft Foods.

    Cons

Since being acquired by Kraft Foods the job opportunities are no longer available. A lot of company restructuring was occurring and a lot of the Cadbury employees were downsized.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When a company buys a very well run company it is much smarter to keep the employees that ran that company well.
Cadbury was extremely profitable and sales grew every year.

Senior CMI (Market Research) Manager Interview

Anonymous Employee in East Hanover, NJ
    Application Details

I applied online. The process took 1+ weekinterviewed at Cadbury Adams USA in February 2011.

    Interview Details

I advanced to a phone interview with the hiring manager after passing the initial screening interview with the Corporate HR recruiter. She asked me very basic questions like "Walk me through your resume, why Cadbury, etc." Half way through our conversation, the call dropped. I called and emailed (twice) the hiring manager immediately so that we could finish the interview. She didn't pick up or respond to either email. It wasn't until the end of the day (7 hours later) that I received an email from her. She mentioned she was unable to connect the line. I understand she may not have felt I was a fit for the position, but her behavior was unprofessional and speaks to her lack of communication skills. If she didn't want to spend more time with me on the phone, she should have just come out and said that she didn't feel I was a fit for the position.

The company also makes retro gum brands Beeman's, Blackjack, and Clove, which it reintroduces every few years. Cadbury Adams USA was formed after then Cadbury Schweppes bought the Adams chewing gum brands from Pfizer for $4.2 billion in 2003 and integrated it into its already existing US operations... More
