I have been working at CafePress full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

People are friendly, work is fun, a pretty relaxed environment to really step your game up. The managers are very open to ideas, change, and guiding you towards the career path you want to take. I saw numerous people completely change positions/departments because they wanted to learn a new skill set or area of business.

    Cons

Pay isn't the best, but if you stand out and make yourself valuable, they'll definitely bump you up. It seems their approach with pay is start low, then reward the stand out employees with raises.

The KY - CA split kind of sucks because it's hard to collaborate with the distance & time difference. There doesn't seem to be much unity amongst the two locations.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Spend a bit more to get premium talent. You're in silicon valley so you have to be competitive, or move locations completely.
