I have been working at California Community Foundation

    Pros

great learning environment and collegial; open and embracing to all cultures and backgrounds; great history; good benefits

    Cons

leadership out of touch with rest of staff; overly political and corporate-like culture; old-school: can't wear jeans and exempt employees have to clock in and clock out; leaders manage from top down, excluding few departments.

The organization performs its function by offering funding for health and human services, affordable housing, early childhood education, and community arts and culture. The 24th Street Theatre, Antelope Valley Hospital, and Community Arts Partnership are among the organizations to have received the foundation's grant funding. In times of emergency, it has also pitched in to help groups in other areas. California Community Foundation was founded in 1915.
