I worked at Calstrs as an intern (Less than a year)

Great environment and coworkers. Everyone is extremely friendly and willing to take time to teach you what they do. As an intern they let me get involved with portfolio research.

They are a state company so there is a lot of politics that governs their work that you would not see at a private company. Can feel slow in the office.

I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Calstrs.

Easy going. The first 40 minutes are spent working out 9-10 math word problems and responding to a request on behalf of the department to someone in the school system who has not replied in 2-3 weeks. You are provided printed sheets of the problems and the email/state law scenario. You are also provided a sheet with the interview questions, to be reviewed if you have time. The last 20 minutes consists of the interview with a panel of 3 managers (based on 3 openings).

    Interview Questions

    • Describe a time when you had to convince management to implement an idea. Was it implemented? If not, why?   Answer Question

I'm being optimistic. My interview just took place today.
