I worked at Canadian Blood Services full-time for more than 5 years

Good culture, good salary, good benefits, opportunities for training, etc.

Managers need training on the treatment of people. They are partial to some and not others. They must be trained on how to manage the limited annual increment budget equitably among their subordinates. HR does not care about employees and does not look for inconsistency between what the manager writes in the performance report and what the employees gets as increment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to train HR staff to be more human and not to assume that the Manager is always right!! Secondly, keep up to your promises to staff both current and past.

    Application Details

I applied online - interviewed at Canadian Blood Services in July 2013.

    Interview Details

I received a phone call about three weeks after applying. Then I had two interviews by phone. The first one was general, about the position, and my experience. Second one was behavioral. Then, they call the more suitable candidates for a technical interview. I wasn't called but at least they call me to let me know that somebody else got the job.

    Interview Questions
    • There were no surprise questions. Is very standard like: Tell me about a problem you had with a coworker and how did you fix it.   Answer Question
    No Offer
