I have been working at Canrig Drilling Technology full-time (more than 5 years)

I love working here. The pay is good. The work is rewarding and challenging. The people are friendly. You can grow your skill sets through training offered by the company. There is a lot of room to grow within the company. Most supervisors in software development started out as programmers, the IT supervisor started as an Imaging guy and there are many field managers that started as techs. Despite the recent layoff, Job security is good. If you have a good attitude and do your job there is nothing to worry about.

Turnover, I am not privy to the reasons why people leave but many good people have left over the last couple of years. I am a little overwhelmed with work.(hence the job security). While the pay is good I felt somewhat lowballed when I came to work in my current position.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Fix the turnover. Weather it's personality conflicts, pay, or stress. We have to stop losing people.

I was hired through a referral process, so the interview was short and sweet. It was really more of a friendly conversation, and at the end of it all I was told on the spot that "everything looked good" and that I could expect to hear from HR in the next few days.

    Interview Questions
    • They were already pretty intent on hiring me, so there really weren't any difficult questions asked.   Answer Question
