We are proud to announce that Carbonite's new corporate headquarters were featured in the Biz Journal. Take a quick look here: http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vIzmm
A common theme for Carbonite employees is that what you do as a start here isn’t what you’re necessarily going to do forever. Actually, a lot of Carbonistas have transitioned to different roles AND different departments. The job they had that got them the gig here is completely unrecognizable to them today!
Here are some veterans who have moved up in the ranks and crafted their own path here at Carbonite.
Johnathan started at Carbonite in 2007, when he needed a part-time college job. He saw Carbonite as a young company with an opportunity for him to grow. At the time, the support team maxed at 10 employees using only email to converse with customers. In 2009, he started working full time in Mac support and a year later, he transitioned to our highest level of support.
In 2012 Johnathan became interested in possibly working with the Product Management team. He liked what he was doing and he enjoyed using the customer support feedback to help improve the product. In his own words, Johnathan, “helped a little by little until a position opened up.”
And luckily for Johnathan (and for Carbonite), he enjoys his role in Product Management, where he helps reduce the customer support calls by fixing the root of the problem.
Tina started on the Carbonite reseller team in 2012, before the program existed! At the time, there was no sales portal the resellers used. She helped create the entire system! Today, she’s working in channel sales, leading team of three resellers for the Mid-Atlantic region of the country.
Her day-to-day activity at Carbonite includes making sure her team follows up on new leads, all while working with her 200 resellers to take care of any issues that may arise. If she’s not helping her resellers with new product, she says, “I like to do a lot of marketing campaigns with them to help keep the relationship growing.”
BACK IT UP. GET IT BACK.™
At Carbonite, we understand how much of your life is on your computer. That's why we want to make it as easy as possible to back it up. We also understand that the only reason you back things up is so you can get them back when you need them. That's why we've focused on making our restore process as simple and hassle-free as possible.
Since Carbonite launched, we've backed up more than 300 billion files. More importantly, we've recovered nearly 20 billion files that otherwise would have been lost forever.
We keep backup simple
There's a reason the New York Times called Carbonite "the easiest online backup software to use." It's because everything we do is designed to make backup simple. Our product works automatically, so you never have to remember to back up. You can recover your files from our servers with just a few clicks, and if you need our support reps to walk you through the process, they're available by phone, email and chat.
We also make it easy to try Carbonite for free. All you need to do to get started is to enter your email address and create a password. That's it – there's no credit card required.
We keep your files safe and secure
Keeping your files safe and private is our top priority. That's why we take every precaution to make sure your valuable files are secure. Your files are encrypted before they leave your computer and encrypted again during transfer. Your files remain encrypted on our secure servers that are located in state-of-the-art data centers, which are guarded 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
We listen – and respond
We sincerely appreciate that you've taken time out of your busy life to try Carbonite, and we take your input very seriously. Thanks so much for helping us to make Carbonite a success.
Work on technology that really matters – Since 2006, Carbonite has restored over 7.2 billion files that otherwise would've been lost forever.
You'll be surrounded by creative, smart and energetic coworkers who share a passion for what they do.
We have an award-winning, seasoned leadership team with proven track records. In addition to launching 3 other companies, our co-founders successfully brought Carbonite public in August 2011.
In addition to a competitive pay and benefit package, we offer a casual working environment in terrific locations; including our corporate headquarters in downtown Boston, MA, Sunnyvale, CA, and Lewiston, ME.
In 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 we were selected for the Boston Business Journal's Best Places to Work for mid-sized companies list.
We were selected for the Inc. 500 list of the fastest-growing companies in America in both 2010 and 2011 .
When possible, we try to promote from within, so there are plenty of opportunities to grow.
Carbonite has a wide variety of both technical and non-technical opportunities available.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 days – interviewed at Carbonite in May 2014.Interview Details
I was hoping for a complete career change, but they really seemed to dig for personality and attitude problems, and I really bombed the whole experience. My first visit for a test was very friendly and positive, so I was pretty relaxed going into the actual interview; the second one, I felt like they were on the offense, trying to find something wrong. I've never had someone probe "what I meant" by an answer. One of the interviewers looked down the whole time and didn't make eye contact, which was very unnerving.Interview Questions

Carbonite's online backup software preserves files just like it did Han Solo. The company's Web-based software backs up documents, emails, music, photos, and settings on PCs (Windows and Mac) and mobile devices, such as the iPhone, BlackBerry, and Android phones.
