The physicians are lovely and grateful for the services the employees provide.
No room for growth despite being told otherwise. Don't get your hopes up about any raises or changes in salary. Management is awful and disorganized; will literally yell at you for things that they themselves take advantage of ("chatting", use of cell phones, not staying on task, not being available). Favoritism galore. If you're not BFFs with the management, then forget being able to be anything but a drone. The ones who are "lucky" enough to be protected by management aren't even good at their jobs, so why they get away with anything is beyond the rest of the staff. There is so much physician turnover it's not even funny. You know it's really bad when the doctors are up and leaving without much notice. No guidance or training; employees literally have to figure out everything by themselves and are reprimanded if they don't do it "the right way."
Advice to Management
Stop trying to rule by tyranny, just trust that your employees are doing the best that they can with the little training and guidance that they get from you. Stop being hypocritical. Stop lying to your employees (i.e.; telling them that they'll get a pay raise in three months when that's completely untrue). Stop making examples of your employees while letting others get away with worse. Tighten up on HIPAA policy.
